The syllabus is an introduction to ballet, with emphasis on musical variety, movement in space and children's imagination. At same time it develops students physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality, while learning the first basic steps of ballet technique. The curriculum focuses on the developmental needs, interests and abilities of children as they begin their lifelong quest of being skillful, knowledgeable and expressive movers. This strong foundation prepares students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres.Students will experience the joy of learning to:Move with well maintained body posture, coordinated arm and leg movements; Gain the understanding and knowledge of basic classical ballet orientation and terminology; Demonstrate the ability to move with different formations and patterns; Move with different music (pulse, duration, rhythm, melodies, sounds and volume);Use mime, dance movements to express feelings and emotions.
