The lessons are structured with clear objectives at different stages of the learning process. In the beginning, the purpose is to develop confidence and independence in the water. Students will also be taught on how to exercise personal water safety and how to enter an exit a pool. Fundamental water skills such as unassisted step entry into water, sculling, feet first surface dives, personal water safety skills will be introduced to the student and the goal is to achieve a certain distance continuous swimming.
