KIndergarten
Kindergarten 1 In this course students will develop their phonic awareness and learn to recognise and pronounce 2-3 letter combinations. Students will be introduced to high frequency 'tricky words' with irregular spellings and begin to distinguish some spelling patterns. By the end of the course they will be able to write and read short sentences accurately. Show and Tell discussions will continue to play a pivotal role in developing speaking confidence and socialisation skills. Kindergarten 2 By the end of K2, students will be ready to begin P1. They will have a firm grasp of the Jolly Phonics sounds and will be moving towards becoming independent readers. They will develop their comprehension skills through story-related activities and be able to write simple paragraphs. Weekly spelling tests, that cover course content and irregular spellings, will help to enhance their literacy.

Got to know about this school when I was back in Secondary school when my classmate attended classes there to prepare for her O levels. Was surprised that they do have classes cater for the preschoolers as well and so decided to give it a try for my child, The school fees are not cheap but their class last for 1 hr 45 mins per week. The school adopts Jolly Phonics and focus on covering every single alphabet and its sounds. It also includes reading aloud practice through show and tell, story telling, songs and actions and worksheet to complete. Overall, not too bad as it is more fun learning at this stage. Wiull monitor and see my child's interest along the way.
