Children's Ballet
Dance Arts follows the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus which is the largest examining body for classical ballet in the world. Dance Arts has also recently introduced the Commonwealth Society of Teachers of Dancing ballet syllabus (CSTD) for the younger children s grades. Both Syllabi offer examinations annually, and they are conducted by external examiners sent down from the Academy. Students are selected and entered for the examinations by both our RAD and CSTD registered teachers, which are held at Dance Arts. All successful students receive a certificate from the examining body.

My daughter has been with Dance Arts since she was 3yrs old. She is now 9 so that says a lot abt how much she enjoys the lessons. She has an excellent ballet teacher who has been teaching there for many years. We like the teacher for she is firm, yet encouraging. She is demanding when it comes to correction during coaching in preparation for the RAD ballet exam. Yet the girls are receptive to the corrections and strive to become better. Many of the older girls also started learning ballet since young and literally grew up with the school. I recall when daughter started at 3, lessons are mainly centred around lots of imaginery and pretend play. A little bit of drama elements infused into the lesson to keep it interesting for the little girls. Highly recommended.
