Really fulfilling to see my son grow with Heguru. Since Heguru focuses on the right brain training, I can really see the benefits that my son reaps from it. Really love how the lessons keeps my child engaged but also learning at the same time. My son loves the memory games the most! Not only did it boost his confidence, but it also allows him to work as a team.
Enrolled my daughter who is 15 months old to Heguru at One KM after hearing really good reviews from friends and colleagues. Its an hour full of fun and activities every week with my daughter. The size class is good usually at 4 to 5 children each time with 2 teachers - 1 main teacher and another assistant teacher. Unlike some other centres, they have like 7 children in the class with 2 teachers which I feel its too much. I feel its benefiting my child as she learns to return stuffs to the teachers using two hands. Its a good improvement for a 15 month old child I would say. There's definitely flash card every lesson and other activities which are always new each class. The teacher will also encourage the parents to practice flashing the cards at home with our child. Really enjoying attending the class at One KM with very good teachers even though its kind of far for us to travel.
I enrolled my son with heguru in Nov. The class pace is very fast!! Within an hour, they flashed like at least hundreds flash card, do a few hands on activities (e.g. throwing bean bags (motor skills), use finger to trace alphabet cut out from sandpaper etc...), dots program for math, phonics and alphabet songs. Teacher Michelle is very experienced with handling children young children (not something I see very often at classes dealing with young children). She's also loud and clear, which is very important when they need to rattle off so quickly. I can see my son getting better with the activities. Like how he can now get the link memory correct. I'm not sure whether it's cause of the classes, but I do feel that he's memory getting quite good and he's able to spot like cats hidden in bushes from afar! Will definitely continue with Heguru and recommend it to friends around me!
My child has been with Heguru for 8 months now. Around less than 6 months of attending classes, I started to notice that she reaches developmental milestones earlier than the norm and picks things up very quickly. She is now 17 months old and has been trying to speak and is able to imitate words just by hearing the word once. I am hopeful that she will be able to reap benefits as long as we continue with the classes. On top of these, we also have lots of fun in class!
My 3 year old son has attended the Heguru program for 2 years now. We first attended at the Eunos centre which was shifted to One KM shopping mall late last year. We stayed on and are still attending lessons now because of the excellent programme and teachers. Every lesson, there is a huge variety of different interesting activities which ranges from memory training, numbers, languages, phonics, puzzles, hands-on activities, songs and more, which effectively engage my son every lesson. Never is there is boring moment in class. My son and I look forward to lesson every week. I am also hugely impressed by the teachers in the One KM centre who are friendly and loving to the children in the class. I can personally feel their passion for teaching and concern for the children's development. Of course, my hubby and I have seen great improvement in memory, number concepts and general memory of my son which I attribute to the Heguru as that is the only enrichment program I enroll my son in. I would highly recommend the Heguru classes in the One KM centre.
My son attended at abt 6 mth to 9 mth at sengkang branch. There is one main teacher and one asst teacher. The lesson will usually start with the basic facts abt date, time, weather, temperature. Lesson is conducted at a very fast pace, activity after activity. These includes flashcards, linking memory, mandala, math concepts using nummerkasten. This is a box divided into 2 areas to show no. Of balls left behind after a certain number of balls hv gone to the other side. There are also phonics songs to teach 2 alphabets each week and Chinese poetry. Each term also has a super long song with big charts to teach the babies facts and info abt general knowledge. Teachers incorporate song and dance to help them remember better. Overall it's a highly stimulating class for babies and some may take a while to get used to the long sit down session. Our class gets to go outside e classroom for abt 5min for some physical activity like kick ball. Some babies also can't sit thru the 2 long flashcards sessions. Recommend parents to do flashcards at home too to get them used to it. Activities can be repeated too frequently so can get bored after a while for parents.
