I regretted not starting my Son early for phonics enrichment classes. I thought it wasn't necessary since his child care also teaches phonics on a daily basis. However, it seems like he is rather slow in grasping the phonics and still could not read himself. So based on a Friend recommendation, I decided to try I read and write. The teacher did an assessment on him and his not able to pronounce some of the alphabets phonics right still. So we decided to start from level 1 instead and slowly progress up. Now after a year he is already at level 3 and is able to start blending words. The class room setting is conducive and the Teachers are dedicated. Learning is fun and not stressful when there is no homework. Am happy with his progress so far although we started rather late.
