Students who have completed their beginner level and have learnt the fundamentals of basic piano playing, can embark on their graded piano journey. At KWJ Piano School, we use the ABRSM (The Associated Boards of the Royal Schools of Music) system, as it is one of the most acclaimed and internationally recognised systems in Singapore and across the world. Examinations are held biannually, and examiners are flown in from the United Kingdom to conduct the assessments. Preparing for exams is an important part of a student's early development in piano, because it gives both the student and teacher a goal to work towards and can help propel a students' skills along at a steady pace. Holding a grade with ABRSM can also be beneficial outside of the musical sphere, by helping your child to get into a school of their choice in the future!
