LiftOff
LiftOff empowers students to read independently through a process that explicitly and progressively teaches decoding skills, at the same time as recognising the importance of developing automatic access to the most frequently used English Language words. This programme, with its proven track record, will increase the reading age of students by several years taking them from a non-reader to that of an advanced reader with strong comprehension skills.

My son is in the weekday class and there is about 5 children attending. The teacher is female Australian and very smiley and friendly. There is spelling every week and its good as I feel it forces my son to learn to blend the words so that he can remember how to spell them easily. The children will be given a workbook to be done in class as well as be brought back to be revised again with the parents. It is more of a reading program and there is also comprehension passages in the worksheet to test the children understanding of the passage. There is also picture scenarios where the children will look at the picture and then describe in their own words. At the end of this program which is about 33 sessions, the teacher commented that each child should be able to read independently. There is also trial class which you can call the centre to enquire.
