BEC/ WHIZ Programmes (8 to 36 months old)
These parent assisted programmes take on a more active approach. Support is given to young learners to build up confidence through structured play and learning experiences where rich language is used. Children in this programme will be provided with ample opportunities to learn from observations, enquiry, exploration and first-hand experiences. The emphasis is on sharpening their abilities to think, communicate and form their own ideas. The 3R Approach Reading, Rhyming and Role Playing, is strongly emphasized in this programme.

The class begins with free play followed by a science experiment which involves inflating a balloon over a glass of water. I doubt the babies and toddlers will ever understand the basis behind this but perhaps they are awed by how the balloon gets bigger and bigger. After this was a hello song which was played over the CD as well. There were also other songs where we danced and jumped together. I think the best part that my boy loved the most was the gym time and bubble time. Lastly there were story telling time which are very simple stories and art and crafts where we parents will helped the most on. Overall not too bad.
