MIM (Music for The Intelligent Mind) Playtime
MIM Playtime aims to stimulate and tickle the music brain of children under 3 with colourful flashcards, educational toys, percussion instruments, keyboards and other interesting teaching aids. cultivates toddlers' musical talent, exposing them to the sounds of different instruments, encourages early note reading, rhythmic training, aural training, concentration training, memory training- photographic and audio, recognition of keys and perfect/ relative pitch training. This early exposure helps them tremendously in their future path in becoming a fine musician.

Me and my wife take turns to attend the music class with our son. So far out of the 8 lessons I have already attended 4 and I do learn quite a bit of music myself. Although I am not musically inclined, my wife encourage me to use this time together as a daddy and son bonding time and its only 45 mins per week. The class will usually start off with a greeting song which is the same for every class. Then there will be "where is thumbkin song" so that the can remember the different names of each fingers as this will come in useful when using which fingers for which key on the keyboard. Followed by note recognition using flashcards and many other songs and rhythm beating with the different percussions to sing along and some time dance along as well. The teacher will usually repeat the each piece taught at different lessons to reinforce them to remember and be able to sing along. The notes recognition will be repeated at every lesson though to ensure that every child remember. Use of the keyboard is still minimal at this stage. Nothing complicated. Just being able to recognize which key is for do re mi fa and so and which proper fingers to use.
