My 2.5yrs old girl has attended staccato for 1 yr plus & she loves the music class by dr lee. She has been requesting to attend the class even on days when there was no class. Dr lee's style allows the babies/toddlers to explore with various musical instrument. At her class, the kids were exposed to instruments around the world like xylophone, violin, drumyin (instrument from bhutan), yangqin, guzheng, drums etc during each week. The kids are able to play the instruments under the guidance of dr lee. She has also simplified the musical notes & solfege of each songs for the kids to pick up fast. Sensory & motor skills were also part of the program where kids learn to dance & do some art work. In addition, dr lee incorporate some humanity lifeskill like taking turns in the class, & cultivate the kids' patience in waiting for their turn to play the instruments. At a young age of 2.5yrs old, my girl is able to sing the solfege of songs like mary had a little lamb etc, & had expressed her interest to learn violin. I am glad that my girl looks forward to the music class each week.
