With roots in African-American vernacular dances, Jazz dancing has evolved much over the years. From what we see on Broadway musicals, to TV's ""So You Think You Can Dance"", Jazz in modern day context is consistent in its flair and high energy. Incorporating elements of ballet, contemporary and hip hop(just to name a few), Jazz has a myriad of styles from which individuals can pick their preferences from. In this course, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of jazz dancing, with choreography that contains contemporary dance elements.
